Whiney Wednesday

I don't normally like to be a "whiner" or share too many thoughts, but I've had something on my mind lately, and I felt the need to share it. I've always considered myself a friendly person, and I've always been blessed with an abundance of friends. Throughout the years though, my definition of "friend" has changed.... A LOT! I can count on one hand the number people I can truly call my "friend". I've had a lot of people come into my life for various reasons and prove themselves to not be a friend, and then I have to have them make a quick exit...I don't need those kinds of people in my life. And to beat it all, all of those people were girls!!!! Ugh! It is nearly impossible to be able to trust a girl nowadays! They all lie, scheme, and do things behind your back! My best friend and I were having a conversation not too long ago about how "catty" girls can be (and yes, I am a girl and I can be catty to a point, I'll admit it) but I like to think that I am an honest, loyal friend and that I know how to treat people with the respect that they deserve! Most of the people that we associate with, besides the few girls I put in my "best friends" group, are guys! Guys are not dramatic, they don't care enough about other people's business enough to talk about it, and they are always pretty loyal, depending on the person. It's always kind of bothered me that I get along with guys more than girls, but then again, it doesn't really matter. A friend is someone who will listen to you, cry with you, laugh with you, keep your secrets, and not judge you! Besides my mama and my sister, I have 3 girls in my life that I consider "true" friends, and that is more than enough for me. I'd rather have a few really good, true friends than a bunch of fake and phony friends! :)

Sweet Puppies

I love dogs!! My family has a 4 year old Weimaraner named Cooper. He's a mess, but he's so sweet and he's pretty much come to be another kid to my parents! My boyfriend, Matt, has a 5 year old miniature Schnauzer named Spencer! He's sort of become like a kid to me, too! I get to dog sit him often, and he's so sweet and a lot of fun!

Here's a pic of Coop giving me kisses :)
This is a video I took of Spencer yesterday after I had kept him all day and it was time for me to take him back home...

Think before you speak...

My good friend, Janna, sent me this in an email a few days ago, and I laughed for a good long while at it! I'm sure you will, too! :)

Think before you speak...

Here are six reasons why you should think  before you speak -
The last one is great!
Have you ever spoken and wished  that you could
Immediately take the words back...
Or that you could crawl  into a hole?
Here are the Testimonials of a few people who  did....

FIRST  TESTIMONY:
I walked into a hair salon  with my husband and three kids in tow
And asked loudly,
"How much do you  charge for a shampoo and a bl * w j 0 b?"
I turned around and walked back out and never went  back
My husband didn't say a word...
He knew better.

SECOND TESTIMONY:
I was at the golf store comparing different kinds of  golf balls.
I was unhappy with the women's type I had been using.
After  browsing for several minutes,
I was approached by one of the good-looking  gentlemen who works at the store.
He asked if he could help me.
Without  thinking, I looked at him and said, "I think I like playing with mens  balls"

THIRD  TESTIMONY:
My sister and I were at the  mall and
Passed by a store that sold a
Variety of candy and nuts.
As we  were looking at the display case,
The boy behind the counter asked if we  needed any help.
I replied, "No, I'm just looking at your nuts."
My sister  started to laugh hysterically.
The boy grinned, and I turned beet-red and  walked away.
To this day, my sister has never let me forget..

FOURTH TESTIMONY :
While in line at the bank one afternoon,
My  toddler decided to release
Some pent-up energy and ran amok.
I was finally  able to grab hold of
Her after receiving looks of disgust
And annoyance  from other patrons.
I told her that if she did not start behaving
"right  now" she would be punished.
To my horror, she looked me in the eye and said  in a voice just as threatening,
"If you don't let me go right now,
I will  tell Grandma that I saw you
Kissing Daddy's willy last night!"
The silence  was deafening after this enlightening exchange.
Even the tellers stopped what  they were doing.
I mustered up the last of my dignity and
Walked out of  the bank with my daughter in tow.
The last thing I heard when the door closed  behind me, were screams of laughter.

FIFTH TESTIMONY:
Have you ever asked your child a question too many times?
My  three-year-old son had a lot of problems with potty training and I was on him  constantly.
One day we stopped at McDonalds for a quick lunch, in between  errands. It was very busy, with a full dining room.
While enjoying my burger,  I smelled something funny,
So of course I checked my seven-month-old  daughter,
She was  clean.
Then I realized that Danny had not asked to go potty in a while.
I  asked him if he needed to go, and he said "No".
I kept thinking
"Oh Lord,  that child has had an accident, and I don't have any clothes with me."
Then I  said,
"Danny, are you SURE you didn't have  an accident?"
"No," he replied.
I just  KNEW that he must have had an accident, because the smell was getting  worse.
Soooooo, I asked one more time, "Danny did you have an accident ? This  time he jumped up, yanked down his pants,
Bent over, spread his cheeks and  yelled
"SEE MOM, IT'S JUST FARTS!!"
While 30 people nearly choked to death  on their food laughing,
He calmly pulled up his pants and sat down.
An old  couple made me feel better,
Thanking me for the best laugh they'd ever  had!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST  TESTIMONY:
This had most of the state  of Michigan in America  laughing for 2 days
And a very embarrassed female news anchor who will,
In  the future, likely think before she speaks.
What happens when you predict  snow but don't get any!
We had a female news anchor that,
The day after it  was supposed to have snowed and didn't,
Turned to the weatherman and  asked:
"So Bob, where's that 8 inches you promised me last night?"
Not  only did he have to leave the set,
But half the crew did too they were  laughing so hard!

Now, didn't that  feel good?
Pass it on to someone you know who will enjoy a laugh!

Products

This is a different kind of blog post for me, but I thought that I would step outside of the box a little bit and do something a little different. I have a few of my favorite products that I use on a daily basis and I wanted to tell you about them!

First up, my new favorite, is Paul Mitchell's sculpting foam mousse. I have naturally curly hair, and I've been looking for a mousse or a cream that would give me softer curls instead of the crunchy curls. My hair stylist, Misty, recommended this mousse, and I LOVE it! It's exactly what I've been looking for! It was $22 for the biggest bottle they make, and totally worth it!
I absolutely hate dry skin! It has always been one of my pet peeves. The first thing I do when I get out of the shower is lotion my hands, feet and legs. I also do this periodically throughout the day..that's how obsessed I am! :) I don't like really greasy lotions. I like ones that moisturize, but don't leave my hands feeling slippery. This is gonna sound really silly, but my absolute favorite lotion is Corn Huskers Heavy Duty Hand Treatment!
It is oil free and does not leave my hands greasy afterwards. It's about $3 at Wal-Mart and has no scent, so when I put perfume on after I shower, my scents don't clash! (another pet peeve) :)
Last, and definitely not least, is my favorite chapstick! I use Blistex Silk & Shine multiple times a day. Dry lips is another annoyance to me, and this is my most favorite chapstick! I'm not positive on the price, but I would say about $2 or so.

Sorry if this was silly, but I wanted to share! :)
